Carlota Crespo graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law in Lisbon and became a lawyer, leaving law behind after a national casting selected her to be one of the 10 new faces of RTP.

She was a journalist at SPORT.TV, where she worked as an anchor, reporter and presenter.

At the same time, she invested in her acting career, training at Esper Studio in New York; the Giles Foreman Centre for Acting in London; Chapitô, Act School and John Frey Studio in Lisbon, among others.

Carlota Crespo has worked in theater, cinema and television, in national and international productions. As well as being an actress, she has written, produced and directed her own creations, including the play “Mal Fechadas” about letters written but never sent and “As Duas Primeiras” about the life and work of Maria Amália Vaz de Carvalho and Carolina Michaëlis.

She founded “The Actor’s Sofa”, an incubator for performance ideas that aims to connect Portuguese actors and the international artistic community.
