Alexandre Duarte is a Professor at FCSH/Universidade Nova de Lisboa, invited Professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and integrated researcher of the Research Unit ICNOVA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.  

He is the former Communications Director of the Portuguese Federation of Krav Maga, Text Editor of the Surf Magazine SOUP and occasionally collaborates with many other academic and professional media. Between 2012 and 2014, was the Tutor of the EUROBEST Young Marketers Academy and in the beginning of 2014, was appointed CEO of RESTART, an Institute of Creativity, Arts and New Technologies. In 2018 was re-elected member of the Directors Board of EDCOM – European Institute for Commercial Communications Education and since 2021 is also member of the Research Committee. In 2024 was elected Coordinator of the Advertising working group of SOPCOM, the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences.
