We have released the Book 2.0 3rd Edition Report, which took place at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon. This document is a reference point for understanding the transformation of the publishing universe within an event that is already a national and international benchmark on the future of reading, literacy, and education. Under the theme “The Reinvention of Species”, this edition highlighted the relevance of the book as a central pillar of our ability to adapt to new realities, not only as a society, but also as companies and individuals. The report brings together the perspectives and recommendations of the various speakers and specialists who took the stage at Book 2.0, including authors, scientists, and political leaders.

Over two days, the debates addressed the potential of Artificial Intelligence as a co-creation partner and the critical need to strengthen copyright in the face of new technologies. We also explored key topics such as the personal and collective development of our children and the role of educators, the importance of literacy in society, and the irreplaceable role of bookshops as hubs of knowledge, among others. A diversity of current themes and challenges that lead us to a deep reflection on the role of each of us in this shared mission.
