BOOK 2.0 is now preparing its 4th edition, which will take place on September 5th and 16th at the emblematic Grande Auditório of the Belém Cultural Centre (CCB). Under the motto “Back to Basics. Back to Books”, this edition proposes a profound reflection on the role of the book as a tool of resistance and citizenship in a world marked by the fragmentation of attention, maintaining the primary objective of building bridges between authors, publishers and all book lovers.
The 2026 edition is based on three fundamental pillars that will guide the discussion: the role of Culture, Education and Economy as allies for the common good and for literacy; the impact of Copyright and Artificial Intelligence, debating the ethics and sustainability of the publishing ecosystem in the face of new technologies; and Democracy and Freedom of Expression. Through these axes, the event reaffirms the book as an essential instrument in the fight against misinformation and in the construction of informed and critical societies.
