Alexandre Homem Cristo graduated in political science from the Portuguese Catholic University, completed a master’s degree in Comparative Politics at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-UL) and has advanced studies in Public Policy Analysis at the London School of Economics.
He was a parliamentary assistant at the Portuguese Parliament between 2012 and 2015, and an advisor to the National Education Council between 2013 and 2015. He has coordinated educational innovation projects at international and national level, combining artificial intelligence with monitoring the reading ability of primary school students. He has several publications in the field of public policies.
Currently, Alexandre Homem Cristo is the Deputy Secretary of State for Education of Portugal.
