Daniel Sampaio is a Full Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculdade de Medicina of the University of Lisbon. He was the founder of the Portuguese Society of Family Therapy and a pioneer of Family Therapy in Portugal. 

He is the author / co-author of 30 books on family, adolescence and school, such as “Vozes e Ruídos – Diálogos com adolescentes” (1993), “Inventem-se Novos Pais” (1994), “A Cinza do Tempo” (1997) – which brings together about 60 chronicles published by the author in the press between 1993 and 1997 – “Tudo o Que Temos Cá Dentro” (2000), and “Lições de Abismo” (2002). Daniel Sampaio’s books are published in Brazil and Italy.
