They say she was born talking; she began her professional experience in radio, and in 1992, she started her television career where, among other projects, she coordinated and hosted the daily program Sociedade Civil, working directly with over 120 organizations from across society and winning 14 awards and distinctions.
She was the National President for the European Year of Volunteering in 2011 and has been a volunteer in pediatric hospitals for 25 years.
She founded and currently presides over Associação Nuvem Vitória: an association of volunteer storytellers who tell bedtime stories every night in pediatric wards across Portugal.
She was awarded the Order of Civil Merit by the Portuguese Republic in 2013 and has been a mother for 30 years.
