Joana Pinto is a partner in the Technology Transactions department at Antas da Cunha ECIJA and has over 25 years of experience providing legal counsel to technology companies, having spent most of her career as an in-house lawyer at global multinational corporations.
For 17 years, she served as Head of Legal at Accenture Portugal, where she was also a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Prior to that, she worked as an in-house lawyer at Capgemini Portugal, Sonaecom, and Optimus, and served as advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State to the Minister of Internal Administration in the 16th Constitutional Government of Portugal.
She has been recognized by Legal 500 and featured in the GC Powerlist Portugal (2023/2024) and GC Powerlist Iberia (2022). She led the teams awarded the Gold Award for “In-House Team of the Year” by Iberian Lawyer in the Services & Consultancy category (2020/2024).
She holds a Law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University, executive training in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School, Organizational Leadership from AESE, certification as an AI Governance Professional from the IAPP, and a postgraduate degree in Telecommunications Law from the University of Coimbra.
Joana is a regular speaker at national and international conferences on technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence, with a special focus on regulation, ethics, and digital literacy.
