Maria Francisca Gama was born in Leiria in 1997. At the age of 17, she moved to Lisbon and later graduated in Law from the Faculdade de Direito of the University of Lisbon. She started working in a law firm and, later on decided to shift her professional path, and started woriking in a communication agency. Currently, she manages her time between writing and reading, creative work, and teaching Portuguese language private lessons.  

By the age of 24 she had published 3 books, A Profeta is her first work published by Penguin Random House, with the promise of having just gotten started.
