Pedro Adão e Silva has a degree in Sociology from ISCTE and a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence. He is an assistant professor at the School of Sociology and Public Policy of ISCTE, where he had been director of the doctoral program in public policies. He was vice president of IPPS-IUL and a member of the collaborative laboratory CoLABOR. In 2021, he was appointed executive commissioner for the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of April 25th of 1974’s revolution, currently serving as Minister of Culture of Portugal. He was also a commentator and columnist for several media outlets.
