Pedro Sobral has a degree in Economics and Political Science, both from Católica University in Lisbon and completed the General Management Program in Harvard Business School.
With previous experience in Financial Data Analysis and Strategic Consultancy, he was first nominated, in 2004, Marketing and Sales Director in Almedina Group. In 2008, he entered LEYA Group first as Marketing and Digital Content Director, then as General Manager of the General Publishing Division and finally as Chief General Publishing Officer in LEYA Group.
After being Vice-President of APEL for three years, in 2021, Pedro Sobral was nominated President of APEL.
