Vanessa Portilla is a 28-year-old Colombian social communicator and journalist with a Master’s degree in marketing. She has extensive experience in communication for development and project management in education, having worked on numerous initiatives in Colombia, Africa, and Brazil. Dedicated to bringing innovative solutions to underserved communities, Vanessa leverages her expertise to drive impactful change. Currently, she is part of the World Literacy Foundation team, where she leads and supervises international operations, ensuring the successful implementation of literacy programs worldwide. 

Throughout her career, Vanessa has been deeply involved in leveraging digital tools to enhance educational outcomes. Combining her marketing expertise with a passion for innovation, Vanessa ensures that digital education initiatives are effective and accessible to disadvantaged communities. 

Vanessa has also completed courses in Communication for Development, Radical Innovation at MIT, Design Thinking at Harvard, and Social Innovation at SPJIMR in India, further enhancing her ability to drive positive change.
