John Tørres Thuv (born 1970) is the President and Group CEO of Gyldendal, a publicly traded company and the largest player in the Norwegian book market. Gyldendal owns several publishing companies and publishes books across all genres, including education, academic, and trade. The group also owns ARK, the largest bookstore chain in Norway, as well as the largest online bookstore and book clubs audiobook streaming services. Gyldendal also owns Forlagssentralen, one of Norway’s largest distributors in the book industry. John Tørres Thuv has been in the book industry for the last 25 years, and has been Group CEO since 2016.
