The Cheque-livro Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers (APEL), which aims to encourage reading habits and encourage young adults to visit bookstores. This program covers around 220 thousand young people living in Portugal, born in 2005 and 2006, who can use the book voucher of €20 to buy literary works in more than 300 bookstores. This initiative runs until April 23, 2025.
