Sofia Castelão is the Corporate Management Systems Manager at The Navigator Company, where she leads the implementation and oversight of integrated systems in the areas of quality, environment, health & safety, and sustainability across the company’s mills in Portugal and Spain. 

She holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Beira Interior and a postgraduate qualification in Management from Nova SBE, with over 25 years of experience in the pulp and paper sector. Throughout her career, she has focused on process optimisation, risk management, and auditing, with a strong emphasis on certifications and regulatory compliance. 

At Navigator, she plays a strategic role in preparing the company for new European sustainability challenges, particularly the EUDR regulation.
