Mário Augusto has been a journalist since 1986, and is the author and presenter of several programs on the SIC, TV Cine and RTP channels. He was deputy director of RTP 3. In addition to television, he collaborates with several newspapers and magazines and is a radio columnist, having developed a large part of his professional activity in the dissemination and analysis of cinema. He was a founder of SIC, and has produced several documentaries and written screenplays for television.

He is the author of several books on cinema, “Rear Window” and “As If It Were a Novel,” as well as biographies of actors such as Charlie Chaplin and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
