Margarida Balseiro Lopes was born in Marinha Grande on September 24, 1989.  

She holds a PhD in Law from the Catholic University of Portugal, a postgraduate degree in Taxation from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal, a Master’s degree in Law and Management from the Catholic University of Portugal, and a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of Lisbon.  

She has worked as a consultant at Deloitte Portugal since April 2022. She began her professional career in 2012 as a tax consultant at one of the BIG4 firms.  

She was a Member of Parliament in the Assembly of the Republic between 2015 and 2022, serving on various parliamentary committees, such as the Budget and Finance Committee and the Education, Science, Youth and Sports Committee.  

Within the party, Margarida Balseiro Lopes has been a member of the National Political Committee of the PSD (Social Democratic Party) since 2022, and served as President of the JSD (Social Democratic Youth) between 2018 and 2020.
