Born in Lisbon, Sílvia Alberto is one of the most recognisable faces of Portuguese television, with a career spanning more than two decades on screen. She holds a degree in Playwriting from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School, and also pursued a Master’s in Literary Theory at the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Sílvia began her television career in 2000 on Clube Disney, and has since become a mainstay of RTP, where she currently hosts Got Talent Portugal.

Throughout her career, she has presented high-profile formats including Dança Comigo, Operação Triunfo, Festival da Canção, and the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, which she hosted in Lisbon. Her longstanding connection to literature and the performing arts, present since her academic training, brings a distinctive sensibility to her new role as presenter of Book 2.0.
