Dulce Maria Cardoso graduated in Philosophy from the Faculdade de Letras of the University of Lisbon and became an active Portuguese and History teacher involved in the Reform of the Educational System (1989-1991). She started writing children’s books with the inauguration of Uma Aventura collection, which she continues to write in partnership with Isabel Alçada.  

Dulce Maria Cardoso published novels, texts and short stories such as Eliete (2018), O Retorno (2011), O Chão dos Pardais (2009) e Tudo São Histórias de Amor (2014). Her work is part of curricular programs at universities in several countries, subject of academic theses and has been adapted to cinema, theater and television.
