“We are finally acquiring reading habits,” says Pedro Sobral, president of APEL. But there’s still a lot to be done.


The book sector is growing so people are reading more. However, the Portuguese market is not yet comparable to that of our Spanish neighbors. Following the Ministry of Culture’s announcement of projects for this area in March, APEL’s president hopes to make them a reality and tells Expresso exclusively which measures must not be left behind.
