Irene Caño has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oviedo. She worked for three years in Yahoo’s commercial department until 2003, when she moved to Google, first as Operations Manager and then as Agency Manager. In 2009, she joined Orange Spain to head up the Sales Department.
In January 2010, she joined the technology company Facebook as Director of Sales and Business Development and has been General Manager for Spain and Portugal since 2012.
Irene Caño has collaborated with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation and is a member of the Advisory Board of Liberbank in Asturias. She was a member of the jury of the Princess of Asturias Prize for Communication and Humanities 2018 and President of the jury of the Princess of Girona Business Prize, as well as a member of the jury of the Accenture Journalism Prize.
In 2021, she received the award in the category of Woman Manager Leadership from the Spanish Federation of Women Managers, Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs (FEDEPE) and the iForum 2021 Award for the best professional career.
