Michelle Nkamankeng is a South African author, child rights advocate, philanthropist, youth activist, voice-over artist, and motivational speaker. She developed a love for reading at a young age and began writing at six, secretly completing her first two books, Waiting for the Waves and The Little Girl Who Believes in Herself. These achievements made her South Africa and Africa’s youngest author and one of the youngest writers in the world. She later published The Little Mouse and The Golden Ring, with her first two books endorsed by the Department of Education and used in some schools.
Driven by a passion for education and literacy, Michelle founded the Michelle Nkamankeng Foundation in 2016, through which she delivers motivational talks, conducts workshops, donates books, and supports children in need. She has received numerous awards, including the UNICEF Tiny Stories recognition, the Gauteng Premier Women’s Excellence Award, and the Youth Diplomacy Ubuntu Award. Michelle has represented South Africa globally as a speaker, ambassador, and advocate for children and youth empowerment.
